Application
Zinc acetate is primarily used as a catalyst for the production of vinyl acetate and similar compounds. It is also employed as a reagent for the determination of sodium, hydrogen sulphide and proteins, as well as in chromatography. Furthermore, it serves as a mordant in the polyester industry and has other applications, including as a chromatography reagent, a wood preservative, a textile mordant, a medicinal emetic and a disinfectant.
