Application
Phenyl cinnamate can be used as a fixative in floral essences such as hyacinth, carnation, daffodil, narcissus, lily of the valley, lilac, rose, tuberose, gardenia, magnolia, peony, sweet bean curd, and oriental or fantasy essences. It also works well in perfume powder. In edible essences, trace amounts are used as a fixative for jam-like flavors, such as in plum, plum, cherry, and other essences.
