Application
2-Mercaptobenzimidazole is used as a rubber antioxidant in natural rubber, synthetic rubber, and latex. It has moderate effectiveness against oxygen, weathering, and static aging, while also preventing the adverse effects of over-vulcanization during product vulcanization. 2-Mercaptobenzimidazole is also an important pharmaceutical intermediate.
