Application
Mainly used for the synthesis of organic silicon, the general reduction reaction is carried out in an alkaline environment, and triethylsilane can be used as a reducing agent in acidic environments such as TFA, which is its biggest chemical characteristic. It can be used for the reduction of acetals or the elimination of terminal alkoxy groups in sugars. In addition, it can be used in conjunction with transition metal catalysts for silicon hydrogen cleavage addition.
