Structural properties
Since the molecular structure of this compound contains a long carbon chain and does not contain a strongly polar group, its polarity is relatively low. In a dry reactor, under an argon atmosphere, hemp alcohol (2 mmol) was added to a solution of [Cp * Ir Cl2] 2 (0.02 mmol), 1,7-octadiene (0.2 mmol) and potassium tert-butoxide (0.8 mmol) in p-xylene (0.5 mL), and the resulting reaction mixture was stirred vigorously at 120°C for 4 h. After the reaction, the reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature, and then water and ethyl acetate were added to the reaction mixture to separate the organic layer. The aqueous layer was extracted three times with ethyl acetate, all organic layers were combined and dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, the desiccant was filtered off and the resulting filtrate was concentrated under vacuum, and the residue was separated by silica gel column chromatography (230 ~ 400 mesh silica gel, n-hexane/ethyl acetate = 10:1). Application
