Application
Sodium cyanoborohydride is widely used in the reduction of aldehydes and ketones, especially in the reductive amination of ketones. It is a reducing agent for organic synthesis, reducing aldehydes, ketones, oximes, and enamines, reducing β-lactams to β-amino acids, and methylating ammonia.
