Application
A hydrogen-terminated disiloxane that undergoes addition reactions with unsaturated alkenes; it is therefore widely used to prepare hydrogen-terminated polysiloxanes, serving as a chain extender or crosslinking agent for silicone rubber; it can also be used to synthesize various siloxane polymers terminated with reactive functional groups, and for organosilicon copolymer modification of organic polymers. It can also be used as a reducing agent in organic synthesis.
