Application
It is a good low-boiling solvent and organic synthesis raw material. It can be used to prepare propylene glycol, glycerol, polypropylene glycol, polyester resins, foam plastics and surfactants, etc. It can also be used as a solvent for cellulose acetate, nitrocellulose and resins, etc. When epoxypolymer reacts with ammonia, it forms isopropanolamine (mono-isopropanolamine, di-isopropanolamine, tri-isopropanolamine). Isopropanolamine is alkaline and can absorb acidic gases, and is widely used in gas purification, such as desulfurization and de-carbonation in the ammonia synthesis industry.
