Application
Methyl acetate has various uses in pesticides, pharmaceuticals, dyes, polymer stabilizers, solvents, organic synthesis, and more. Used as a solvent: a component of cellulose ether solvent and cellulose resin mixed solvent; Chemical book fungicides: intermediates of chlorpyrifos, dimethoxyphene, and ethoxyphene; Insecticides: intermediates of diazinon, fly poison phosphorus, and pyrimidophos; Herbicides: Imidazole ethyl nicotinic acid, intermediate of rodenticides such as glyphosate and chlorpyrifos.
