Application
1. Primarily used in the synthesis of halogenated hydantoin and hydroxymethyl hydantoin. It can also be used to synthesize hydantoin-type epoxy resins and hydantoin-type formaldehyde resins.
2. Used in amino acid synthesis, and also as a specialty epoxy resin, water-soluble resin, bactericide, and preservative. Its derivatives, such as 1,3-dichloro-5,5-Chemicalbook dimethylhydantoin, can be used as a chlorinating agent and disinfectant; 3-hydroxymethyl-5,5-dimethylhydantoin can be used as a formaldehyde-regulating agent and preservative.
