Application:

HEPES (4-hydroxyethylpiperazine ethanesulfonic acid) is a non-ionic zwitterionic buffer with high polarity. It is inert to various chemical reagents and enzymes, does not participate in or interfere with the process of chemical reactions, and has no inhibitory effect on enzyme chemical reactions. Therefore, it can be specifically used for research on organelles and highly variable, pH sensitive proteins and enzymes.
