It is also used as a solvent for oils, resins, and rubber, a dry cleaning agent, an extractant for pyrethrin, caffeine, vitamins, and hormones in agricultural chemistry books, a wetting agent, a impregnating agent, a petroleum dewaxing agent, an earthquake resistant agent, and a raw material for pesticide manufacturing and drugs such as imidacloprid and piperidine.
