Application
DL-Aspartic acid (DL-Asp) has important uses in medicine. It can be used to synthesize DL-aspartic acid potassium magnesium salt (diazepam) to treat arrhythmia, tachycardia, heart failure, myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, hepatitis and cirrhosis. It is also an intermediate for synthesizing polypeptides.
