Application
Copper bromide can be used as a photographic sensitiser; in organic synthesis, it serves as a brominating agent; it is also used in copper vapour lasers, where hydrogen bromide placed in a tube reacts with molten copper under discharge conditions to form copper bromide vapour. This type of laser emits yellow or green light and is used in dermatology.
