Application
It is mainly used in medicine to treat gastric and duodenal ulcers, bacterial dysentery, acute mucosal permeability gastritis, enteritis and diarrhea. It is also used to make bismuth salts. It can also be used as an additive for pearlescent plastics and an adhesive for cosmetics.
