Application
1.Used for dyeing cotton, silk, acrylic, and linen. It is also used for dyeing paper and manufacturing color lakes.
It can be used as an external disinfectant in medicine.
2.Used as an acid-base indicator, pH 0.0 (yellow) to 2.6 (green). Prepare bacterial culture medium to identify Escherichia coli and other lactic acid fermenting bacteria, and cultivate and isolate typhoid bacteria in feces.
3.Used for ion pair chromatography to determine fatty acids and sulfites.
